Setting up email
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Before you use your smartphone to
send or receive messages, consult your
wireless service provider for pricing and
availability of email services and data
rate plans.
Make sure your phone is on and you’re
inside a coverage area before you send
or receive messages.
If you want delivery of Microsoft Office
Outlook
®
email using Microsoft Direct
Push, make sure that your IT
organization uses Exchange Server
2007, or Exchange Server 2003 with
Service Pack 2.
Entering settings for an email account
You can use the Messaging application on
your smartphone to access the many kinds
of email you may use: corporate, ISP, and
web-based (like Gmail and Yahoo! Mail).
Before you can send and receive email on
your smartphone, you need to decide
which type of email account you want to
access. The setup process is different for
each email account type, so it is very
important that you select the correct type
to send and receive email.
