Creating and sending a multimedia
message
Multimedia messages consist of pictures,
videos, text, and sounds presented as one
or more slides. You can include any of the
following items:
Ringtones: MIDI
Sound clips: AMR, WAV
Pictures: JPG, GIF, BMP
Videos: 3GPP, 3GPP2, MPEG4
Outgoing multimedia messages can be up
to 300KB by default, but your wireless
service provider may have a different
maximum message size.
IMPORTANT If your smartphone is
enrolled with a Yona server, you cannot
send and receive multimedia messages
from your smartphone.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Before you use your smartphone to
send or receive messages, consult your
wireless service provider for pricing and
availability of multimedia messaging
services.
Make sure that your phone is on and
that you’re inside a coverage area (see
Turning your phone on
).
1 Press Messaging .
2 Select SMS\MMS.
3 Press Menu (right softkey) and select
New > MMS.
4 Enter the recipient’s mobile phone
number or email address:
TIP
If the file is a picture or video, press EXIF
(left softkey) to view additional information
about the file.
TIP
Press Menu (right softkey) when you are
viewing a message’s contents to see several
other options, like saving the attached file with
a new name.
