Request Update Activation Keys
To request upgrade activation keys for a single Polycom product
1 Go to
http://support.polycom.com
.
2 Log in or Register for An Account.
3 Select Product Activation.
4 In the Software Upgrade Key Code section, click Retrieve Software
KeyCode.
5 Enter the serial number of the endpoint to be updated into the Serial
Number field of the Single Upgrade Key Code section.
6 Enter the version number to which you are upgrading and click Retrieve.
7 The key code is returned on the screen.
8 Record the key code and create a
.txt
file with the Serial Number - Key
Code combination to be updated.
9 Close the Product Activation screens.
To request upgrade activation keys for mulitple Polycom products
When updating multiple endpoints from a prepared
.txt
file (see “List the
Serial Numbers for the Endpoints to be Updated” on page 202):
1 Go to
http://support.polycom.com
.
2 Log in or Register for An Account.
3 Select Product Activation.
4 In the Multiple Upgrade KeyCode section, click Add Attachment.
5 Browse to the location of the
.txt
file you created and click Upload.
6 A file containing the Serial Number - Key Code combinations will be
E-mailed to the specified E-mail account.
7 When you receive the
.txt
file, save it to your local system.
8 Close the Product Activation screens.
To request upgrade activation keys for third-party products
1 For third-party endpoints, follow the company’s recommended
procedure for requesting an upgrade activation key.
